About
Born and brought up in the hilly state of Uttarakhand, I belong to district Pithoragarh. I have done my undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and further graduate studies in Structural Engineering. I am particularly interested in mechanics and I try to analyze problems of composite structures with fundamental mathematical principle along with moderate computational efforts. Our group tries to incorporate the manufacturing aspects of advanced composites in mechanical analysis and design. I also take interest in understanding the validity of continuum theories at various length scales. I have great interest in teaching and I'm presently employed with Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar. Earlier, I was working with National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (2014-18). I have been teaching undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering and graduate level courses in Structural Engineering specialization. As a structural engineer, I like to analyze structures closely. I'm not very proficient in design but hope to learn it progressively. Apart from research and professional activities, I enjoy to write Hindi poems and articles. Swimming seems a great fun to me unless someone is around to save me. I've performed miserably in quite a lot sporting events, mostly in group events and those incidents appear distinctly over my friends' memories. I also take interest in trekking to high altitude routes and I've been fortunate to witness lot many spectacular views across these trails.
I plan to do active teaching and research activities in coming years. Students and other researchers interested to work on problems of mutual liking are most welcome to discuss further. I can be contacted most easily through e-mail or can be reached at School of Infrastructure, IIT Bhubaneswar.
